Fiber reinforced materials like CFRP or GFRP have been replacing metallic materials in the aerospace industry for more than 20 years. This trend is ongoing and leads to FRP-material proportions of more than 50% on modern aircraft. Production rates are increasing and require different manufacturing methods and joining concepts. The Mini-Symposium will focus on developments of analysis methods (e.g. material models) as well as on challenging structural simulations of aerospace parts.
